Trusting the Holy Spirit

Trusting the Holy Spirit

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” Me and my husband are doing Bible study out of this book that is totally focused on experiencing the Holy Spirit. This morning the lesson evolved around this simile of a boat on the water and how it will be floating senselessly if there was no wind to steer it. Yesterday I experienced first-hand how I have to start trusting people…this morning that idea of yesterday continues and is now extended to the idea of trusting God above all else and not to lean on our own understanding. We want to trust in what we feel and see instead of placing our trust in the all-knowing God who sees and knows so much better. Without His power, we are floating senselessly. I want to be the boat that gets the all mighty Captain on board and reach higher heights and the most wonderful destinations, but I cannot do it without His Spirit guiding me. This is my prayer for you today!
